Dedicate a light

The 2022 Lighting of the Loving Tree Honour Roll

Dedicate a light

When you dedicate a light on the Mary Potter Loving Tree to remember someone you love, we will send you a heart with your loved one's name on it to hang on your own tree and display another heart with their name to our Loving Tree outside Mary Potter Hospice. If you made a gift before 25 November 2022, their name will appear in an honour roll on our Lighting of the Loving Tree ceremony video that is featured below.

Click on the button below to dedicate a light or call us on 08 8239 0119 to dedicate a light over the phone.

Dedicate a light on the Mary Potter Loving Tree to honour someone you love or make a gift from your heart this Christmas

The Loving Tree stands at the entrance to Mary Potter Hospice and in December every year, it is lit up for 40 nights with thousands of twinkling lights as a symbol of love for those we wish to remember with love at Christmas.

You can give the most precious gift by dedicating a light on our Loving Tree. It is a beautiful way to celebrate a life of someone special at this time of year.

Not only will you shine a light on someone you love, but your gift will also support one of the many patients and families who will spend their Christmas in our care.

We would be so honoured to have your loved one remembered this year.

There are two ways you can donate to the Loving Tree (see above).

We are excited to be able to bring the Loving Tree community together once again to honour and celebrate those being remember this Christmas.

There will be a Christmas Carols Concert that will be free but exclusive to only those who donate or dedicate a light on our 2022 Loving Tree held at St Francis Xavier Catherdral in the evening on Wednesday 7 December 2022. The Adelaide Symphony Orchestra will provide the music and the Adelaide Male Voice Choir and St Peters’ Woodlands School Choir will lead our carolling.  Please note: The 2022 Loving Tree Carols Concert has now reached full capacity. If you are unable to attend you will still be able to watch the Loving Tree video on this website from the evening of 7 December 2022. (Updated 5 December 2022).

For every family that dedicates a light, you can receive up to two adult tickets (plus extra tickets for children) to the concert. We will send these tickets to you with your receipt, together with a heart for your own tree.

If you make your gift before Friday 25 November, your loved one's name will also be included in our Lighting of the Loving Tree video, that will be available to watch anytime online after the Carols Concert.

You are welcome to drop by the Hospice any evening to view the lights and hearts in person. The lights will switch on for the first time on the night of the concert and will remain lit for 40 nights until 15 January 2023.
