Light up
the Hospice

with love

this Christmas

Dedicate a light

Each Christmas we light up the lights on the Loving Tree to remember our loved ones and to shine a light on those in our care

The Loving Tree stands at the entrance to Mary Potter Hospice and in December every year, it is lit up for 40 nights with thousands of twinkling lights as a symbol of love for those we wish to remember with love at Christmas.

You can give the most precious gift by dedicating a light on our Loving Tree. It is a beautiful way to celebrate the life of someone special at this time of year.

Not only will you shine a light on someone you love, but your gift will also support one of the many patients and families who will spend their Christmas in our care.

We would be so honoured to have your loved one remembered this year.

Dedicate a light

To dedicate a light on the Mary Potter Loving Tree, simply make a gift from your heart. We will add your loved ones name to our Loving Tree and send another heart with their name to you, to hang on your own tree at Christmas time.

Those who dedicated a light on or before Friday November 24 will have their loved one's name appear in our Lighting of the Loving Tree video honour roll and the carols concert booklet.

Dedications made after this date will still have a heart added to the Loving Tree, however won't be included in the video or booklet.

Click on the button below to dedicate a light or call us on 08 8239 0119.

MAKE A GIFT FROM YOUR HEART

2023 LIGHTING OF THE LOVING TREE AND CHRISTMAS CAROLS CONCERT

We are excited to be able to bring the Loving Tree community together once again, to honour and celebrate those that are loved and missed at Christmas.

In the evening of Wednesday 6th of December 2023, we will host our annual Christmas Carols Concert at St Francis Xavier Cathedral. This is a ticketed event exclusively for those who make a donation or dedicate a light on our Loving Tree. There is no cost for tickets.

The concert features a performance by the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra’s Brass Quintet, with carolling led by the Adelaide Male Voice Choir and St Peters’ Woodlands School Choir.

At the Loving Tree Carols Concert, we will display the Lighting of the Loving Tree video, which will be available to watch on our website after the concert.

Those who dedicated a light on or before Friday November 24 will have their loved one's name appear in our Lighting of the Loving Tree video honour roll and the carols concert booklet. Dedications made after this date will still have a heart added to the Loving Tree, however won't be included in the video or booklet.

Soon you will receive a letter in the post with a heart(s) bearing the name of your loved one(s). If you ordered tickets to our Loving Tree Carols Concert, please visit the collection desk upon arrival to the Cathedral, on 6 December to collect your tickets.
